How listings are checked
Nothing goes on the site without an editorial check: before a venue is listed we read its own website, its recent reviews and what we already know about the place, and it is listed as dog-friendly only if that check says dogs are welcome somewhere on the premises. Where a venue's website states its dog policy, we record the wording and the date. Venues can confirm their policy directly, and a confirmation expires after twelve months. Anyone can suggest a correction from a venue page. The details, including what a listing does not promise, are on how we check listings.
