Say where dogs are welcome — fully indoors, outdoor seating only, off-lead areas — and which dog amenities you offer, such as water bowls, treats or a dog menu. Your description, contact details, photos and opening hours are edited in the same place.

When your venue confirms its dog policy through our verification email, the listing shows a badge with the method and date it was confirmed. Badges expire after twelve months, so "verified" always means recently.

How verification works
Verification is separate from claiming. Claiming shows that you are connected to the venue and lets you manage its listing. Verification records that the venue itself confirmed its dog policy on a given date.
We email the address the venue publishes, or gives us on its listing, with a link to confirm or update its dog-friendly status. The email is an accuracy check and nothing else: it contains no promotion, and every email has a one-click opt-out that we honour permanently. We contact a venue at most once or twice a year. Today verification is by email; if we add a telephone check in future, any call will identify itself at the start.
A confirmed venue shows a badge with the method and date, for example "Verified by email · Sep 2026". The badge expires after twelve months and is removed automatically rather than left showing stale trust. There is no box in the owner tools to mark your own venue verified; verification comes from the venue's confirmation through the verification email. It is free.

Questions from venues
How do I list my business on Paws of London?
First search for it on this page: many London venues are already listed. If it is, claim the listing. If it isn't, use Add a venue not yet listed, which asks you to create a free account and complete a seven-step form. Both routes are free.
How do I claim an existing listing?
Search for the venue above and press Claim this listing, or open the venue page and use its Claim button. You will be asked to sign in, then to explain in a sentence or two who you are and how you are connected to the venue. Our team reviews every claim and may contact you to check. Once approved, the venue appears in My Venues and you can manage it. If a claim is turned down you can appeal from My Venues.
How does a venue become verified?
By confirming its dog policy through the verification email we send to the venue's own address. The listing then shows a badge with the method and date, valid for twelve months. Claiming a listing does not verify it, and owners cannot mark their own venue verified. See How verification works above.
How do I update my opening hours?
Open your venue from My Venues and use the Hours tab in the owner tools. Changes show on the listing immediately and are recorded in the activity log.
How do I add dog amenities to my listing?
Use the Amenities tab in the owner tools. You can mark water bowls, dog treats, a dog menu, outdoor seating, whether dogs are welcome fully indoors or in outdoor seating only, off-lead areas and more.
How can I promote my venue to London dog owners?
There is no paid promotion or sponsored placement on Paws of London. The best way to be found is an accurate, complete listing: a clear dog policy, your amenities, current opening hours and good photos. Listings appear on our borough, venue-type, station and open-now pages, and a dated verification badge tells dog owners the policy was recently confirmed. You can also publish events and offer check-in rewards from the owner tools.
Can I see how many people clicked my listing?
Your insights page shows page views for the last 30 days, favourites, reviews, check-ins and an engagement chart. Clicks from your listing to your website, booking link, phone number, email address and directions are recorded on every venue page; a per-link breakdown is not yet shown in the owner dashboard.
Can venue owners respond to reviews?
Not yet. Listings can display an owner's reply beneath a review, but there is no tool in the owner dashboard for writing one today. You do receive notifications when your venue gets a new review.
Can a group manage several venue locations?
Yes. One account can own or help manage any number of venues, all listed in My Venues. Each venue can have its own co-managers, invited by email with full, editor or viewer permissions.
Why should a dog-friendly business join Paws of London?
Because dog owners plan around policy. A listing you control means the dog policy, amenities and hours people read are the ones you set, and a dated verification badge shows they were recently confirmed. It costs nothing, and you can update it whenever something changes.
Is a Paws of London listing free?
Yes. Listing a venue, claiming a listing, verification, owner tools, insights and co-managers are all free. There is no paid tier and no sponsored placement.
