The owner opened the business in 2021 after years cooking in other people's kitchens, cafes and fine dining restaurants.

The menu leans on small independent suppliers, including a local bakery that delivers sourdough fresh each morning and a Malden smokehouse for the smoked salmon. There are vegan and vegetarian dishes such as Vegan Coyo Hotcakes, a Buddha Bowl and Acai Bowls, plus fresh smoothies made to order and iced coffee. Oatly Barista is the house plant milk, with coconut, soy and almond also on offer. The cafe has indoor and outdoor seating, takes walk-ins only, and can do food and drink to go, so you can carry it across to Clapham Common.
