Bad Coffee

Bad Coffee is a specialty coffee roastery with an espresso bar inside it, at Oslo House on Prince Edward Road in Hackney Wick, Hackney. It describes itself as the "anti-aesthetic": yellow doors, floors and counters, and an interior that is industrial because it is a working roastery. The owner, Mandi, says the space was built up by the team themselves and is a constant work in progress.

The roastery started roasting in 2022 and holds a couple of SCA sensory accreditations. The website lists an espresso blend, seasonal single origins from countries including Rwanda, Kenya, Ethiopia and Colombia, and a sugarcane-process decaf. Beans can also be bought on a monthly subscription, including a Roaster's Choice option.

For dog owners, Paws of London records that dogs are welcome indoors, that there is outdoor seating and a quiet space, and that staff welcome dogs. Step-free access is recorded too. Hackney Wick station is a one-minute walk away, with Homerton about eleven minutes on foot.
