The Tankard is a pub at 111 Kennington Road in Kennington, on the corner of the road since the early 1800s. It says it was first established in 1825 beside the old walls of Bethlem Royal Hospital, was rebuilt in 1879 as the Victorian pub standing today, and returned to its original name in 2017.

There is a first-floor terrace that looks over the Imperial War Museum, with Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park just across the road. The pub serves pub food from Sunday roasts to comforting classics, alongside cask ales, craft beers, wines and cocktails. It describes a mix of cosy corners, the bar and the terrace, and mentions pub quizzes among its regular activities. Walk-ins are welcome, and bookings are recommended for weekends and groups.
