The Horse & Guardsman is a McMullen's pub at 16-18 Whitehall, between Trafalgar Square and Westminster. The pub's website calls it a smart, wood-panelled, traditional London pub in a building that was once the premises of the bankers Messrs Cocks Biddulph & co, and says McMullen's has run it since 2021.

Inside, the interior has high ceilings and arched windows, with a bar and ground-floor dining areas. Two mezzanines can be booked privately, and there is a private function space for events. The kitchen serves pub dishes such as Old English sausage and mash, fish in herb batter with fries, a Mushroom & Cranberry Wellington and a hand-carved honey roast ham ploughman's, with gluten free versions of some dishes. Contemporary and traditional cocktails are also made, and Sunday roasts are served.
