The Mayflower Pub

Historic riverside pub with Thames views. Dogs welcome on the deck!

The Mayflower is a pub at 117 Rotherhithe Street, London SE16 4NF, on the Thames in Rotherhithe. Its website calls it the oldest pub on the River Thames, a traditional English pub surrounded by cobbled streets, with a decked jetty and a candlelit restaurant that both have river views.

The site says that at low tide you can see the original 1620 mooring point of the Pilgrim Fathers' Mayflower ship, and that there is an open fire inside. The menu is classic British dishes, with daily changing chef specials, alongside traditional ales, craft beers, local gins and wines. Upstairs, the dining room seats up to 40 guests and can be hired exclusively Monday to Saturday. The ground floor and upstairs restaurant take bookings, while the outdoor jetty is for walk-ins only.

Paws of London lists it as dog-friendly after an editorial check; the dog-policy card below shows where that comes from and when it was last checked. Rotherhithe station is about a 1 minute walk, with Wapping at 4 minutes and Canada Water at 6 minutes on foot.
