The Chapel Market Tavern

The Chapel Market Tavern is a pub at 58 Penton Street, Islington, N1 9PZ. Its website says it was established in 1805 and stands at the western end of one of London's oldest street markets, Chapel Market.

The bar has fifteen draught beer lines that rotate, a wine list and a back bar of specialist spirits. The kitchen serves homemade pub classics, including a traditional roast every Sunday, and there are separate food, platter, Sunday roast, wine and cocktail menus. Bookings are taken for groups of four or more, with smaller groups welcome on a walk-in basis. The upstairs private room has its own bar and takes up to 70 people for drinks or 30 sitting down. The site says it comes from the same team as Ninth Ward in Clerkenwell.
