The Princess Of Wales

Iconic Blackheath pub with outdoor seating, perfect for dog owners.

The Princess of Wales is a pub at 1a Montpelier Row in Blackheath, which its website describes as perched on the edge of Blackheath. It calls itself an iconic London pub, and the FAQs show it is run by Mitchells and Butlers.

The pub serves home-cooked food and a diverse drinks menu, and lists lunch, Sunday roast, family dinner and brunch among its offers. A breakfast and brunch menu is available every Saturday and Sunday, with vegan and vegetarian options, and Bloody Marys on the drinks side. On Sundays there is a roast menu, and a Sunday set menu of two courses that mentions giant Yorkshire puddings. Tables can be reserved online or by phone, and the pub advises calling ahead for big get-togethers or special occasions.

Paws of London lists it as dog-friendly after an editorial check; the dog-policy card below shows where that comes from and when it was last checked. Outdoor seating is recorded. Blackheath station is about six minutes away on foot.
