The Argyle

The Argyle is a pub at 1 Greville Street, near Hatton Garden, Farringdon and Holborn. It is part of Pubsmiths. The site says it opened in the early 1820s as The Old Leather Bottle, and later spent a spell as a jewellery store called The King of Diamonds in Hatton Garden's diamond district.

Today it has three floors of dining, a wide choice of beers and over 40 gins, and it is known for its roof terrace. There is also a beer garden, with umbrellas for cover when the weather turns, and the pub serves classic British pub food and afternoon tea. Private hire options and secondary rooms are available.

For dog owners, the pub says it welcomes well-behaved dogs and reserves selected areas for guests with dogs. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, stay calm around other guests and be supervised by their owner. Its dog menu includes bar snacks and dinner bowls. Chancery Lane is a 3 minute walk, Farringdon 4 minutes and City Thameslink 9.
