The Carpenter’s Arms is a nineteenth-century pub at 91 Black Lion Lane, on a quiet side street by St Peter’s Square on the Hammersmith and Chiswick border. It is the third pub in the Wren Pubs group, alongside The Surprise in Chelsea and The Walmer Castle in Notting Hill, and describes itself as independent, with authentic and classic interiors.

The pub serves lunch and dinner in its restaurant and bar, with seasonal cooking as its focus. There is a fire indoors and a sun trap secret garden, which Paws of London records as an enclosed garden with outdoor seating. A private dining room can be hired for up to 16 people dining or 20 standing, and is also available for meetings, photo shoots and filming. The building first opened as a public house in 1871.
