Duke of Wellington

Award-winning, dog-friendly Belgravia pub with traditional charm and real fireplaces.

The Duke of Wellington is a Shepherd Neame pub at 63 Eaton Terrace in Belgravia, known to regulars as the "Duke of Boots". Its website describes a 19th century pub tucked away behind Sloane Square and the Kings Road, serving traditional food and cask ales. The building began as a reading room, where 19th century residents came to read the morning newspapers.

Inside, "Iron Duke" memorabilia lines the walls, since the pub is named after the first Duke of Wellington, and big screen TVs show live football, rugby and cricket on Sky Sports and TNT. A real fire is lit in the winter.

The pub's own website describes it as a dog-friendly pub. The nearest station is Sloane Square, about three minutes on foot, with Victoria about nine minutes away and Knightsbridge about thirteen.
