The Pembury Tavern

The Pembury Tavern is a pub at 90 Amhurst Road in Dalston, on the five-way junction of Amhurst Road, Dalston Lane and Pembury Road, between Hackney Downs and Hackney Central. It says it has been part of the local community since 1856, and is owned and operated by The Five Points Brewing Company, a Hackney brewery that began in a Victorian railway arch nearby.

The pub reopened in autumn 2018 after a careful refurbishment and restoration. It pours several lines of beer across keg and cask, alongside wines, spirits and soft drinks. ACE Pizza, a Hackney pizzeria inspired by New York City slices, has run the kitchen since the reopening, and the pub says pizza is available every day of the week. There is outdoor seating.
