Saint Monday is a brewery with its own bar at 4 Warburton Road, near London Fields in Hackney. The team behind it opened the Black Heart music venue and bar in 2009, and describes the brewery's mission as making beer focused on quality ingredients and traditional flavours, with heavy metal as its soundtrack.

The bar pours the full range of its own beer from tanks less than 10 feet from where it was brewed, alongside guest taps and bottles that run from US rarities to German and Belgian classics. It also serves cocktails, with a spicy pickle margarita it calls infamous, plus a world whiskey range and a wine list picked by the team. The music is always heavy, the inside is dark and cosy, and there is a garden for the summer.

For dog owners, the evidence on file says dogs are allowed in the outside seating area only.

London Fields Overground station is the nearest, a three-minute walk. Cambridge Heath is about nine minutes away on foot.
