The Ferry House Pub
Historic Isle of Dogs pub welcoming dogs with a great drinks selection.
The Ferry House is a pub at 26 Ferry Street on the southern tip of the Isle of Dogs, close to Island Gardens DLR and the northern entrance of the Greenwich Foot Tunnel. Its website says it has stood on the island since 1722, making it the oldest pub on the Isle of Dogs and quite probably the island's oldest building in continual use.
The bar serves draught and bottled beers, cask ales and Guinness, along with a selection of wines and a choice of spirits, including some top shelf options. Customers can order a takeaway to be delivered to the pub and eat it while having a drink, or pick up crisps and bar snacks. Matches are shown on BT Sports, with large screens in two rooms. A blank canvas function room is available to hire for parties and events, where guests can bring their own food, decorations and entertainment.
Paws of London lists it as dog-friendly after an editorial check; the dog-policy card below shows where that comes from and when it was last checked.
Island Gardens DLR is a 2 to 3 minute walk away, and Greenwich DLR about 6 minutes.
