Humphry's Cafe

A charming cafe in Highams Park, perfect for a post-walk treat.

Humphry's Café is a community café inside The Highams Park, on Henry's Avenue, described by the Highams Park Portal as surrounded by nature with views of Highams Park Lake. The building began as an air raid station during the Second World War, later served as a community hall, and was taken over by the Highams Park Planning Group for a café with toilets after standing empty for about eight years.

The café sells a variety of hot and cold food, ice creams, cakes, teas and coffee, and its menus change daily. It also sells goods by local producers, environmentally friendly duck food and doggy treats. It has a free-to-use pétanque terrain and a full-size ping pong table that can be hired for free, and it doubles as an exhibition space for local artists. Its toilets are available for all to use when the café is open.

For dog owners, doggy treats are on sale there. Highams Park station is about eleven minutes' walk away.
