The Egerton House Hotel
Luxury Knightsbridge hotel where discerning dogs are treated like royalty.
The Egerton House Hotel is a red-brick Victorian townhouse dating from 1843, at 17-19 Egerton Terrace in Knightsbridge. It is part of the family-owned Red Carnation Hotel Collection and sits on a leafy residential street near Harrods, the Science Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
The hotel has 23 rooms, four Studio Suites and one Master Suite, furnished with antiques and original artworks. Guests can take afternoon tea, including a children's version served with the hotel's teddy bear, Edwin, or drink in the bar, which it says is known for its martinis. The hotel also gives guests complimentary exhibition entry and priority access at the V&A.
For dog owners, the hotel says its Very Important Pets receive the same hospitality as guests, and that a Pet Concierge looks after them. Its general manager refers to the hotel's canine visitors.
The nearest stations are South Kensington (7 minutes on foot), Knightsbridge (9 minutes) and Sloane Square (11 minutes).
