The River Ale House

The River Ale House is a pub at 131 Woolwich Road in Greenwich, which describes itself as Greenwich's first micropub. It officially opened its doors on 13 September 2017, after almost two years of preparation by the owners, who say they love beer and micropubs.

The approach is a range of beer styles at reasonable prices. Most of the beer comes from breweries in and around London and Kent, with something from further afield usually on as well. Every beer has tasting notes, and staff will give a taster if you cannot decide. The pub also stocks ciders, gins and wines, each with tasting notes, plus whiskey and rum intended for sipping rather than mixing.
