The Devonshire

Soho's classic pub & restaurant serving top-quality British fare. Dog-friendly!

The Devonshire is a pub and restaurant on Denman Street in Soho, W1D 7HW, a couple of minutes from Piccadilly Circus. The site calls it a classic London pub, with the restaurant on the floors above.

The downstairs pub serves bar food from an in-house butcher and what it calls the perfect pint of Guinness. It is walk-in only, with no bookings, and laptops and loud phone calls are not allowed. Upstairs, a wood ember grill restaurant serves Scottish beef that is dry-aged and butchered on site, alongside langoustines from Oban, day boat fish, lobster and hand-dived Devon scallops. A roof terrace is reserved for walk-ins. Four private rooms above the restaurant take groups of up to 60. Access to the pub is step-free, and a lift serves the restaurant and the accessible toilet.

On dogs, the site says they are allowed in the pub, and small, well-behaved dogs are also welcome in the restaurant. Piccadilly Circus is about two minutes on foot, Leicester Square about six and Oxford Circus about eight.
