Danson Stables

Historic Bexleyheath stables serving classic pub fare; dog-friendly with a secret garden.

Danson Stables is a pub and restaurant in Danson Park, Bexleyheath, run by Heritage Pubs. The Grade-II listed building dates from the 1700s and was originally a stable block. Inside there is a restaurant area across two levels and a Stables function room that can be hired.

The pub serves classic pub food and afternoon tea, with a rotating selection of pale ales and craft ales including Bexley's Own Beer. Outside are a country beer garden with umbrellas for cover, a fire pit in what the pub calls its secret garden, and a kids' menu. The full venue can also be hired for events, with parking in the pub's car park.

The pub has a dedicated dog-friendly page. It says dogs are permitted indoors until 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays, that the gardens are dog-friendly, and that it provides water bowls, treats and a dog menu, with stock subject to availability. Bexleyheath station is a 16 minute walk and Welling 17 minutes.
