The Old Shades is a traditional pub at 37 Whitehall in Westminster, just off Trafalgar Square. Its website calls it an iconic Grade II listed pub that has been serving Londoners since it was built in 1898.

Inside are a bar and a dining area. The pub specialises in British pub food, including beer-battered fish and chips, homemade pies, gourmet burgers, prime steaks, pub sandwiches and a seasonal specials menu, and it serves Sunday roasts. Food is served throughout the day, every day. The drinks list covers British beers and ales, wines from around the world and premium spirits.
