M.E.D Coffee & Movement

Dog-friendly cafe in Merton with coffee, bites, and a heated pergola.

M.E.D Coffee & Movement is a cafe at 18 Watermill Way in Southfields, in the London Borough of Merton. The name stands for Mind Energy Determination, and the cafe says it is located in Merton Abbey Mills, where it aims to champion a community that seeks to eat, move and live well.

The kitchen makes paninis and salads daily, and the cafe bakes its own pastries and cakes. The coffee is roasted by Capital, a family-run business located just round the corner, and there is decaf available too. Seating includes a heated and covered pergola, so sitting outside does not depend on the weather.

For dog owners, Paws of London records dogs as welcome indoors, and the outdoor seating has heaters. The editorial check on file simply notes the venue as dog friendly. The nearest stations are South Wimbledon, an 8 minute walk, then Colliers Wood and Morden Road, each about 10 minutes on foot.
