The Lock Inn

The Lock Inn is a pub at 26 East Bay Lane in Hackney Wick, on the banks of the River Lee Navigation. It was opened by three brothers and a friend, who also run the restaurants Mele e Pere and Gotto Trattoria, the latter right next door. The site calls it a proper Hackney Wick neighbourhood pub.

The menu includes pizza, made with dough proved for over 48 hours, and a burger with a short rib, chuck and brisket beef patty. The bar has 17 taps of local brews and lagers, and cocktails are also served. Groups can ask about private hire, and tables can be booked through the website.

The pub's own site says muddy boots, children and dogs are all welcome, and Paws of London records dogs welcome indoors as well as outdoor seating. The nearest station is Hackney Wick, a 5 minute walk, with Homerton (12 minutes) and Stratford International (14 minutes) further away.
